For those how enjoyed 2010′s The Expendables they’d probably name the macho, over-the-top action and violence as the main reason for their enjoyment (while those who didn’t, myself included, would probably point to its awful dialog, brain-dead pacing and frankly dreadful direction and cinematography as the reasons for their distaste).
Today JoBlo reports that the sequel, The Expendables 2, has been dealt what could be considered a deadly blow as the film will now be released with the certification of Parental Guidance 13, or PG-13 for short. The change apparently comes at the request of internet bad-ass, or so we thought, Chuck Norris. He’s clearly not the ass-kicker we all thought as he wants the language toned down for, get this, the kids.
Shame on you Mr. Norris, shame on you. Now the whole affair will probably end up being even duller. I wonder how internet meme-sters will attempt to make Mr. Norris look cool after this.

The point of the meme was to satarize Norris, not saying that he was cool. This was originally based on Vin Diesel but Norris had more potential.
Then some wankers discovered the Internet and thought this meme was serious.

Yeah, it turned into this serious(ish) thing. Chuck Norris sucks.

Meh, I don’t really see anything wrong with that.

So…murdering people is okay (which would still be in the film) but language is not? I’m seeing a double-standard here. By making the movie PG-13 you are inviting a younger audience to view violence, intact with all language acceptable at a PG13 rating aside from one F word allowed. While making the movie R limits the audience to a more adult crowd, ibsofacto you don’t have to worry about the kids, at all…so this doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me.
Plus there is worse language/violence on TV now. Just make the film how the core intended audience wants it.

What an idiot. A movie like that isn’t for kids in the first place. I hope his crappy acting skills don’t bring everyone else down too.
