What if, at the end of the second World War, the Nazis didn’t fall. What if, instead of truly losing, they fled to their space base on the dark side of the moon? And what if, after years of planning, they return to Earth in an all-out assault? Thankfully you don’t really need to ask these questions. Iron Sky answers all of them.
It’s only a minute or so before a message from the director and the cast but I’ll be darned if it doesn’t look absurdly hilarious. From the brief look it seems to be nailing the exploitation angle and surrealist tone.
This year’s Hobo With A Shotgun? If anything can succeed at C-movie exploitation, it’s Space Nazis.
The film opens at this year’s Berlin International Film Festival, on February 11th.
