Daily Trailer: The Amazing Spider-Man Gets Ready to Wow

February 7, 2012

DAILY TRAILER, FEATURES, HOME

I’m not a fan of remakes and reboots and all that jazz. But if Christopher Nolan has proven but one thing with his Batman series reboot is that disbelievers can and will be proven wrong, from time to time at least. The Amazing Spider-Man might just have what good old Spidey has been missing all these years. Spunk.

The newest trailer has just hit the web and is smacking people silly with wicked awesomeness. You may recall a post on The Amazing Spider-Man’s first trailer, where I told you I wasn’t sold on it. Well, now I am.

Why is this awesome? Let me break it down.

Number one: Emma Stone is the bee’s knees.

Number two: Andrew Garfield is looking the part and then some. Who? That guy from The Social Network. The cute one, remember? Yeah, he can act. And appearently whoop some ass. Hot!

Number three: Love, love, love seeing Denis Leary. Instant smile-on-face effect.

Number four: I go all gooey at the sight of Rhys Ifans looking like intelligent trouble.

Number five: No one is too cool for spectacular scenes like the last one in this trailer. No one.

Sure, it looks a little glossy and a little “made for 3D”. But there seem to be characters of real flesh and blood in this one, evil worth fighting, two sides to every coin and effects to blow your mind. Amazing is a tall order, but The Amazing Spider-Man may just deliver.

Thoughts?

Oh my goodness, Andrew Garfield is so adorable. I remember him as the 1930s vagabond boy in those Dr. Who episodes. He’s just the perfect cross between geeky and cute.
